What is VMware Workstation Player? VMware Workstation Player (formerly known as Player Pro) is a desktop hypervisor application that delivers local virtualization features and is available for free for personal use. A Commercial License can be applied to enable Workstation Player to run Restricted Virtual Machines created by VMware Workstation.

You can install Mac OS X, OS X, or macOS in a virtual machine. Fusion creates the virtual machine, opens the operating system installation assistant, and installs VMware Tools. VMware Tools loads the drivers required to optimize a virtual machine's performance.

Vmware Workstation Free For Mac

Fusion does not support the following features for Mac OS X virtual machines:

  • Multiple displays
  • 3D Accelerated graphics
  • Unity view
