How do I get my Apple Watch fixed?
Many Apple Watch issues can be resolved by restarting the device. You can also unpair your Apple Watch from your iPhone and then pair it again.
An Apple Watch is a smartwatch that works in conjunction with your iPhone and other Apple devices to perform a variety of functions. You can make calls and send text messages. An Apple Watch has a built-in microphone and speaker, so you can take phone calls on. Your Apple Watch has an issue that’s not covered under warranty or consumer law, such as accidental damage. Your Apple Watch service isn’t covered by an AppleCare plan. We might be able to fix or replace your Apple Watch for an out-of-warranty fee. In some cases, you might need to pay the full replacement value fee, such as for catastrophic. Apple Watch Series 6, Apple Watch SE, and Apple Watch Series 3 have a water resistance rating of 50 meters under ISO standard. This means that they may be used for shallow-water activities like swimming in a pool or ocean. However, they should not be used for scuba diving, waterskiing, or other activities involving high-velocity. Apple Watch Series 6 (GPS + Cellular) and Apple Watch SE (GPS + Cellular) can use a cellular connection for Emergency SOS. To use Emergency SOS on an Apple Watch without cellular, your iPhone needs to be nearby. Apple Limited Warranty coverage
The Apple Limited Warranty covers your product against manufacturing defects beginning on the original purchase date. The warranty period varies by model. The chart below shows your Apple Watch model’s warranty period. Our warranty is in addition to rights provided by consumer law.

Out-of-warranty service
Service is considered out of warranty and comes with a fee when:
- Your Apple Watch is beyond the eligible warranty term.
- Your Apple Watch has an issue that’s not covered under warranty or consumer law, such as accidental damage.
- Your Apple Watch service isn’t covered by an AppleCare plan.
We might be able to fix or replace your Apple Watch for an out-of-warranty fee. In some cases, you might need to pay the full replacement value fee, such as for catastrophic damage or unauthorized modifications.
Your replacement Apple Watch will have factory settings and will be new or equivalent to new in performance and reliability.
Battery service
If your battery has a manufacturing issue that's covered by the Apple Limited Warranty, AppleCare+, or consumer law, we'll service your Apple Watch at no additional cost.
Our warranty doesn’t cover batteries that wear down from normal use. We offer out-of-warranty battery service for a fee.
If your Apple Watch battery holds less than 80 percent of its original battery capacity and it’s covered by AppleCare+, you will get Apple Watch battery service for no additional charge.

Screen damage
Accidental damage isn’t covered by Apple Warranty. The out-of-warranty cost to replace an Apple Watch with an accidentally damaged screen depends on your Apple Watch model. If your screen cracks due to a manufacturing issue, it’s covered by the Apple warranty and consumer law.
If you have AppleCare+, it includes accidental damage protection. Coverage does not include cosmetic damage, such as scratches. Each incident has a service fee. AppleCare+ incidents can be used for screen damage. If you don’t have AppleCare+, you’ll pay an out-of-warranty fee. Ask your service provider for an estimate.
Apple accessories
Apple-branded accessories are covered by our warranty and consumer law. The accessories that come in the box with your product are also covered by AppleCare+. Before you bring in an Apple Watch Edition Magnetic Charging Case, take out and keep all the loose parts in the case. Contact Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider for service details.
We can help with returns or exchanges of third-party accessories that you bought from Apple. For service or support, contact the accessory manufacturer.
International travel with your Apple Watch
If your Apple Watch has an electronic SIM card, it won’t support cross-border roaming with your existing plan. To optimize the performance of your Apple Watch during an international trip, you can turn off the LTE features on your device.

We guarantee our service, including replacement parts, for 90 days or the remaining term of your Apple warranty or AppleCare plan coverage, whichever is longer. We offer this when you get service from us or from an Apple Authorized Service Provider. This is in addition to rights provided by consumer law.
